Biography

Arthur Sona, age 86 of Maryland Heights, MO, peacefully entered his enternal home on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Reta M. Sona (nee Paul); dear father of David A. (Wendy) Sona, Carol A. (John) Byrd, Kathleen J. (Warren) Oberdieck and Christine L. Sona; dear grandfather and great-grandfather; dear brother of the late Ervin Sona, Alvina McDuffie, Eileen Schwartz and Margie Milner; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Art served our country honorably in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service, Maryland Heights Branch, member of NALC Union and Fee Fee Baptist Church.

Visitation at BAUMANN COLONIAL CHAPEL, 2504 Woodson Road, Overland, MO on Tuesday, November 20 from 4:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service also at BAUMANN COLONIAL CHAPEL on Wednesday, November 21 at 9:00am. Burial with full military honors follows at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorials to the St. Anthony's Hospice de Greeff Hospice House (10024 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, MO 63128) or Fee Fee Baptist Church (11330 St. Charles Rock Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044).
